The project focuses on rapidly assessing the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 inpatient medical countermeasures (MCMs) using real-world data (RWD) and evidence (RWE). In response to the urgent need for innovative tools, the project aims to develop a systematic approach, involving defining research questions, identifying data sources, creating measurement algorithms, designing epidemiological studies, and utilizing the Aetion Evidence Platform for transparent reporting. The goal is to establish a framework for addressing urgent questions, enhance public health decision-making, advance regulatory science, and disseminate key findings to inform future responses to public health emergencies.
