Some ADHD medicines may increase psychosis more than others, ‘real-world’ data show

Adolescents and young adults undergoing treatment for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may have a higher risk of experiencing a psychotic event if they are prescribed amphetamine medications like Adderall and Vyvanse, as opposed to methylphenidate-based medications like Ritalin or Concerta, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
