Healthcare technology company Aetion is calling for FDA to implement a cloud-based real-world evidence platform with robust data governance to allow for data queries, archiving, access, and aggregation. The company asserts such a system could help avoid unnecessary data duplication and support concurrent reviews by global regulators. Aetion says FDA should establish the platform as part of its data strategy reform efforts, which the agency laid out in its September 2019 Technology Modernization Action Plan.
